O que o Easterblogg nos diz é coisa conhecida entre nós. Um imenso pacote legislativo, ou seja, obra absoluta e rotundamente retórica, cujo fim é perpetuar afinal o que já existe. É mal que se espalha por muito lado como se vê:
NOTHING IN THE TANK: Could 1,700 pages of legislation change nothing? Yes, if it's the energy bill. The markup language, finalized on Saturday by Republican leadership for presentation to Democrats on a take-it-or-leave-it basis, will "begin the restructuring of energy in this country," according to Representative Billy Tauzin of Louisiana, one of the negotiators. Actually the bill will keep the American energy economy exactly as it currently is. Keeping everything exactly as it currently is--plus tax breaks--seems to have been the goal, and makes the energy bill a record-setter for congressional shortsightedness.
Respiremos fundo. Nem tudo vai mal no Reino da Dinamarca (passe o facto de os dados relativos ao terceiro trimestre deste ano não serem de grande alento. Mas isso já é outra história)
